our honeymoon

The original Capilano Suspension Bridge was built by George Grant McKay in 1889 to access prime forest lands that he purchased and protected from logging.  The swaying wooden planks of the bridge are 230 feet above the floor of Capilano Canyon and the bridge is 450 feet long.  The Treetops Adventure, a newer attraction, has elevated timber frame boardwalks high above the forest floor, giving a squirrel's-eye view of a thriving coastal rainforest.
